Green Smoothie
A green smoothie is really best when consumed right away, but you can make it the night before, pour it into a jar with a lid or something like that and cover tightly. That will help keep it as fresh as possible for the morning. In the morning, simply shake it well and drink.Green smoothies make a great breakfast, especially if you are in a rush or on the go.
Equipment
- High Powered Blender
- 3 Glasses
- Knife
- Cutting Board
- Spoon
- Measuring Cup
Ingredients
- 1 handful Baby spinach
- 4 small Green apples
- 1 root Ginger
- 1/2 sliced Lemon
- 3 slices Pineapple
- 2 Kiwi skinned
- 2 tablespoons Chia seeds
- 2 tablespoons Superfood powder of choice
- 1 Cup Water
Instructions
- Add your water, superfood powder and chia seeds to your smoothie maker and mix them.
- Cut up the apple and pineapple. Cut away the skin then cut the ginger into small slices. Do the same with the kiwi and slice the lemon.
- Add spinach, apple, ginger, lemon, pineapple and kiwi.
- Mix all the ingredients to your consistency of choice
Notes
The quantity of the ingredients will vary depending on your taste, how many smoothies you are making, the size of the ingredients, etc. You can tweak this recipe however you want.
Organic and fresh ingredients are recommended, but if you don’t have that handy, you can of course use whatever you have.
Make sure to compost the scraps and recycle any plastic packaging.
If you are ill, make sure to get lots of rest and avoid sugar and dairy.
If symptoms persist longer than a week, seek medical help.
